Colin Thompson

Colin Thompson, based in Rochester, New York, is a distinguished architectural emerging professional known for his commitment to excellence and leadership. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 5-year NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree from SUNY Alfred State with a concentration in Urban Design and minors in Construction Management and Business.

 

Here, Colin served as the President of their chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students and spearheaded the organization and induction of the inaugural class of Alfred State's Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society for Architecture and Allied Arts. Colin was selected as a recipient of the 2024 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence, the highest honor bestowed upon a student in the SUNY system spanning 63 campuses across New York State, and the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence.

With a focus on sustainability, Colin holds LEED Green Associate accreditation, reflecting his commitment to environmentally responsible design. He has garnered extensive professional experience at firms specializing in multi-family, aviation, and civic project types.
